I am a stay at home mom and am married to a Marine. I am way closer to 40 than most people who meet me want to believe, and strangers don't believe me when I tell them my age. LOL I am eclectic, in many ways, traditional in others, and downright certifiable in a few others. I am a tomboy, very much so, and enjoy rough and tumble sports, and, though it's been awhile since the last time I rode bulls, I haven't quit doing that yet. Yes, real live stomping, snorting, snot slinging beef on the hoof with horns, not those wussy mechanical ones, though I will get up on one of those for the hell of it, if there's nothing more challenging to ride around. Though I have also been on hiatus for a few years from the SCA, I also am a heavy weapons fighter in the SCA, who has been known to dabble in light fighting from time to time. I have a penchant for crafty things of all sorts, but have an endearing, and long lasting interest in calligraphy, from way back at my first attempt at it, using my dad's carpenter's pencil, and a light desk crafted by my dad from some scrap wood, a light fixture, and a window out of an old Model A Ford. I have always lived by the ideaology of improvise, adapt, and overcome, even years before I met my husband, the Marine. I am self sufficient, and independent, and can make do on my own, one way or the other, but sometimes I need to be reminded that no man is an island, and that we all need help at one point or other. I am stubborn, bullheaded, and can be a bitch, but deep down, I am a mother, a caretaker, and a protector.
